A huge shout out to Frank Jennings, local business owner of Frank's Contracting and Snow Removal, for offering to be the Grinch in our first ever Grinch vs Santa face off. Mr. Gephart was our jolly old St Nick and these two brought some magic to our students yesterday at our assembly.
Students do go outside during the winter months. We feel it’s important for them to be in the fresh air and have the opportunity to play. Please be sure that your child has a hat, gloves, scarf and boots.
There are resources that support student learning on the parent link of the elementary school website. Feel free to use those and do not hesitate to ask your child’s teacher for support on how to use them if needed. We are all here as a team to ensure each child is successful.

Every Day Counts!! I want to take a moment to highlight the crucial role that regular attendance plays in the academic success and overall well-being of our elementary students.
Why does attendance matter?
- Building Foundations: Consistent attendance is the cornerstone of a successful academic journey. Each day in the classroom builds upon the previous one, and regular attendance ensures that students can fully grasp concepts, participate in discussions, and engage in hands-on activities that lay the foundation for future learning.
- Social Growth: School is not just about academics; it's a place where children develop social skills, form friendships, and learn to collaborate with others. Regular attendance allows students to build and nurture these essential relationships, contributing to their emotional and social development.
- Establishing Routine: A consistent school routine helps children develop time management skills and a sense of responsibility. By attending school regularly, students learn the importance of punctuality and discipline, skills that will serve them well throughout their academic and professional lives.
- Maximizing Learning Opportunities: Teachers carefully plan lessons to cover the curriculum, and each class contributes to a child's overall understanding. Missing even a day of school means missing out on valuable learning experiences. Regular attendance ensures that students make the most of the educational opportunities provided.
How can parents/guardians help?
Prioritize Attendance: Make attendance a priority in your family. Set a routine that emphasizes the importance of going to bed early, waking up on time, and being prepared for the school day.
Communicate: If your child is unable to attend school, please inform us as soon as possible. Open communication allows us to support your child's learning and address any challenges they may be facing.
Celebrate Achievements: Recognize and celebrate your child's attendance milestones. Positive reinforcement can motivate students to maintain good attendance habits.
Remember, every day counts in the educational journey of our young learners. By working together, we can create an environment where every child feels supported, engaged, and ready to succeed.
Here's to a fantastic return and a successful journey ahead. May the new year bring us growth, accomplishments, and memorable shared experiences.
